Article Icon 1Bond Election Highlights

Voters determined the fate of over $41 billion in proposed bond spending across the state on Saturday. While the Texas Bond Review Board has not yet compiled a final tally of results, there are several notable outcomes from the weekend’s elections.

In Celina ISD, two bond proposals totaling nearly $2.3 billion were approved by about 70% of voters. Celina is among the fastest-growing cities in the country, and the district expects its student enrollment to increase from 5,300 to about 16,000 over the next few years.

In nearby Melissa ISD, an $875 million bond package passed with support from more than 65% of voters. In Hays CISD, four out of five bond proposals totaling nearly $1 billion were approved, while nearly 70% of Bexar County voters approved a $987 million bond for the local community college district.

Voters in Midland and Odessa rejected community college bonds of $450 million and $325 million, respectively. Voters in San Angelo and Lubbock, on the other hand, approved school district bond proposals of $397 million and $290 million.

Article Icon 1Earthquake Hits West Texas

5.4-magnitude earthquake rattled West Texas on Saturday evening, followed by two aftershocks of magnitudes 2.2 and 2.9. It ranks among the strongest recorded earthquakes in Texas history.

The earthquake hit Culberson County at 7:47 p.m., at a depth of 3.9 miles. Within two hours, the U.S. Geological Survey received nearly 1,500 reports from people who felt the earthquake, some as far away as Amarillo.

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck the same area on Feb. 14, and more than half a dozen earthquakes of similar intensity have hit the region in the past five years.

Alexandros Savvaidis, a research professor at UT’s Bureau of Economic Geology, attributed the seismic activity to fault lines in the region and the prevalence of wastewater injection wells.

Article Icon 1Paxton Investigating Toothpaste Companies

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is investigating two major toothpaste manufacturers over what he called “misleading, deceptive, and dangerous” marketing practices.

Paxton is requesting records from the makers of Colgate and Crest toothpastes, whom he accused of producing ads and using flavors that may encourage overuse among children, potentially increasing their fluoride exposure.

Paxton cited a U.S. government analysis published last August showing a purported link between fluoride exposure and lower IQ among children. However, critics have suggested that the underlying study was poorly designed and lacked transparency.

The investigation comes amid growing concern about the health effects of fluoride in public water systems. In March, Utah became the first state to ban fluoride in public drinking water, and Florida is poised to become the second.

Japanese Water Soluble Plastic Has American Competition

Japan’s RIKEN institute recently unveiled a plastic that dissolves in seawater within hours — a breakthrough in the fight against pollution. But Florida-based Timeplast may have quietly surpassed it.

With seven patents and a proprietary process called “molecular disintegration,” Timeplast’s plastics dissolve not just in seawater, but also in freshwater, rain, humidity, and soil. Unlike traditional solutions, these materials leave no microplastics behind and maintain the strength of conventional plastics. Already used in 3D-printing and flexible composites, Timeplast’s lineup is versatile and scalable.

They’re on a mission to revolutionize multiple industries:

  • Packaging

  • 3D Printing

  • Healthcare

  • Agriculture

  • Consumer Goods

  • Marine

  • Construction

  • Retail & Events

As you can see, the market potential is enormous ($1.3T in total). That’s just one reason why they’ve already attracted over 6,000 investors.

This is your opportunity to join Timeplast as they lead a plastic revolution with global implications. Become a Timeplast shareholder now.

Meet the Genius Who Invented Plastic That Dissolves in Water

The world produces 450 million metric tons of plastic waste each year. Microplastics are seeping into our oceans and food. They even show up in our bodies. So you can imagine how revolutionary a new kind of plastic that completely dissolves in water can be.

Thatʼs exactly what Timeplast created. The company patented a water-soluble, time-programmable plastic that vanishes without harming the environment. Major players are already partnering with Timeplast for their patented technology.
