A suspect in a triple homicide in Mabank crashed into a Buc-ee’s in Ennis on Friday morning, hitting a pedestrian. The driver was hospitalized after shooting himself in the head.

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office identified 29-year-old Christopher Kyle Reid Jr. as a suspect in a Friday morning shooting that killed a man and two women and injured two other men. Deputies responded to a 911 call from a residence around 2:30 a.m.

At about 5 a.m., Reid drove a minivan into the convenience store’s southwest entrance, hitting a woman in her 30s from Oklahoma. She was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Sheryl Noble, who lives near the home where the shooting occurred, said she was awakened around 2 a.m. by a man pounding on her door, asking for help and saying his brother had shot him. “I was scared. Still shaken up,” she said.

The family of a 12-year-old girl who died at a scuba training site in Terrell two months ago is still looking for answers about what happened to their daughter. Crucial evidence from the incident has not been analyzed, and one of the instructors said a dive computer was “lost,” according to an attorney representing the family.

Dylan Harrison visited the Scuba Ranch on August 16 for her certification dive in a private lake. During her dive, she was separated from her group, which consisted of eight students, a dive master, and a dive instructor employed by the Collin County Sheriff’s Office.

Dylan’s body was found at a depth of 43 feet after her group surfaced and asked for help. According to attorney David Concannon, the dive computers worn by the dive master and instructor were not immediately collected, and one of them has since been lost in the lake.

Concannon claims the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office has yet to analyze the data from Dylan’s dive computer, despite acknowledging the incident is an open criminal investigation. “There’s a family that is grieving terribly, and they don’t have answers,” he said.

Over 400,000 fans descended on Austin’s Circuit of the Americas over the weekend for yesterday’s Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. The race coincided with an announcement from F1 that Austin will continue to host the event through 2034.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen dominated the race from start to finish after qualifying first to win the pole position, marking his fourth victory at COTA. After yesterday’s win, the Dutchman trails McLaren driver Oscar Piastri of Australia by 40 points, putting him in contention to win the championship with five races remaining.

Verstappen, a four-time champion, sounded hopeful about the opportunity to win another title: “The chance is there. We just need to try and deliver these weekends until the end. We will try whatever we can.”

Several celebrities were spotted at the event, including Matthew McConaughey, Joe Rogan, Jay Leno, Zachary Levi, and Shaboozey.

Unknown Number Calling? It’s Not Random

The BBC caught scam call center workers on hidden cameras as they laughed at the people they were tricking. One worker bragged about making $250k from victims. The disturbing truth? Scammers don’t pick phone numbers at random. They buy your data from brokers.

Once your data is out there, it’s not just calls. It’s phishing, impersonation, and identity theft. That’s why we recommend Incogni: They delete your info from the web, monitor for new threats, and keep erasing your data as new risks appear.
