Dear Fellow Texan,
Did you catch our note yesterday?
Here’s the question before us:
Should Texans be held hostage to the big city power brokers, and rely on the Austin Statesman, Houston Chronicle, or Dallas Morning News?
We don’t think so.
That’s why we started The Texas Flyover: we think Texans deserve a statewide news organization that deals in fact—not bias.
Here’s another question before you: would you like to own a piece of that company? There’s no better way to help ensure Texas has a high quality news source.
Right now, as we raise our second million dollars, investors receive 10% bonus shares. You can get them right here, right now.
We’ve built the fastest-growing news brand in Texas. But to take The Texas Flyover to the next level—to reach millions more Texans who are tired of being misled—we need you to stand with us. This is common-sense news for common-sense Texans.
The future of news in Texas is at stake. Will you join us today?

Texas-OSU Game Kicks Off Football Season
Texas college football kicks into high gear today with a season-opening matchup between No. 1 Texas and defending national champions, No. 3 Ohio State. It’s the highest-ranked season opener since 2017.
All eyes will be on Texas quarterback Arch Manning, who makes his first start in a season-opener today. Expectations are high for the former No. 1 recruit whose family pedigree includes a pair of NFL superstar uncles in Eli and Peyton Manning.
There’s plenty of star power on Ohio State’s side, too. The Buckeyes are currently 1.5-point favorites to win the game, which kicks off on FOX at 11 a.m. CT.
Other Texas football action this weekend includes No. 19 Texas A&M playing UTSA at 6 p.m. CT, and a revamped No. 23 Texas Tech facing off against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 6:30 p.m. CT. You can see the entire schedule here.

Abbott, RFK Jr. Address Rural Healthcare
Health Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. capped off his Texas visit this week with a roundtable discussion on rural healthcare in the state, joined by Gov. Greg Abbott.
The newly passed federal Rural Transformation Program earmarked $50 billion for improving healthcare for rural Americans. Half of those funds will be distributed evenly among U.S. states, and the other half will be awarded via individual applications.
Kennedy indicated that awards would prioritize states that are pushing “Make America Healthy Again” legislation forward, as Texas has done with a slew of health-related bills signed this week, with Kennedy present.
Abbott said that funding will focus on serving pregnant women and new mothers, as well as children, seniors, and uninsured Texans. Funding could also expand telehealth options in rural areas and address staffing shortages in rural hospitals.
