Question: What is the Christmas Capital of Texas?
Answer: Grapevine. During a 40-day celebration beginning today, the city will host more than 1,400 holiday events, including the Parade of Lights, featuring more than 100 floats. Other attractions include ICE! at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center and Nash Farm, where visitors can make ornaments and bake cookies on a wood-burning stove. The Texas legislature recognized Grapevine’s extended Christmas celebration with a proclamation in 2009. Last year, Newsweek readers voted the Grapevine the nation’s “Best Christmas Town.”
