Question: How many wind turbines are in Texas?

Answer: As of last year, more than 15,300, by far the most of any state. These turbines have the capacity to produce over 40,500 MW of electricity, more than a quarter of all wind-powered generation in the U.S. Last year, wind farms accounted for nearly 29% of the state’s power generation, second only to the 42% produced by natural gas.
