Question: Where in Texas is the largest colony of bats in the world?

Answer: Bracken Cave, on the northern outskirts of San Antonio. Home to more than 15 million Mexican free-tailed bats, the cave has been owned and operated by Bat Conservation International since 1991. Every summer night, the bats consume over 100 tons of corn earworm moths, keeping the crop pests in check.
