Question: Where in Texas is the Helium Centennial Time Columns Monument?

Answer: Amarillo. The six-story monument was erected in 1968 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the discovery of helium. Amarillo was selected as the site because it was the longtime home of the Federal Helium Reserve. The monument contains four time capsules, two of which were opened in 1993 and 2018. The remaining time capsules are scheduled to be opened in 2068 and 2968.
