Article Icon 1Mexico Agrees to Water Deal

Mexico has agreed to a deal aimed at alleviating a severe water shortage in South Texas caused in part by Mexico’s failure to abide by a 1944 treaty that requires it to send 1.75 million acre-feet of water to the U.S. every five years.

Mexico will send up to 420,000 acre-feet to South Texas by October, the end of the current five-year period. So far, Mexico has delivered less than 600,000 acre-feet during this cycle.

To address the projected shortfall, Mexico will make monthly transfers from two Rio Grande reservoirs and provide the U.S. with half of the flow—rather than a third—from six of its tributaries.

The agreement provides a measure of relief for South Texas farmers and ranchers who have struggled amid an ongoing drought that has threatened the region’s citrus industry and shut down its last sugar mill last year.

Article Icon 1Trump Officials Visit Texas

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins and U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. visited College Station yesterday to tour several Texas A&M research facilities and tout the Trump administration’s “Make America Healthy Again” initiative.

Ag is key to tackling chronic disease like diabetes & heart issues. Excited for HHS to join us in this critical work,” Rollins posted on social media.

On Monday, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem made an unannounced trip to El Paso to survey a site near the border wall where Border Patrol officers discovered a cross-border tunnel in January.

The same day, White House border czar Tom Homan told reporters El Paso’s Fort Bliss is “being ramped up” as a detention center for illegal immigrants. His remarks follow Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s visit to the facility last week.

Article Icon 1Autonomous Glider Company Flying into Fort Worth

Fort Worth-based startup Aerolane is opening a flight operations headquarters at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport to develop and test its autonomous cargo glider technology.

Inspired by gliders used to land soldiers and equipment behind enemy lines during World War II, the company’s Aerocart gliders “boost the capacity of existing planes while requiring only a marginally higher fuel burn.”

Aerolane has been conducting prototype tests in Texas and Florida since 2022 and plans to begin commercial service later this year after obtaining approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Perot Field, considered the world’s first industrial airport, is a central component of the 27,000-acre AllianceTexas Mobility Innovation Zone, a public-private partnership between a local real estate developer, the city of Fort Worth, and the FAA.

Smart Buildings Aren’t Just the Future—They’re Happening Now

The dream of a futuristic smart city—where buildings, traffic, energy use, and air quality are all intelligently connected—sounds like science fiction. But it’s quickly becoming a reality, thanks to advances in the $1.5 trillion Internet of Things (IoT) market.

The challenge? Traditional Wi-Fi networks are too expensive and complex to power this vision at scale.

That’s why massive brands like GigNet and Crayola are tapping into IotaComm’s nationwide wireless network. It’s a lower-cost, more reliable alternative to help bring smarter operations to schools, businesses, and entire communities.

This smart future is not 10 years away—it’s being built right now.

And here’s the best part…

IotaComm is giving early investors a limited opportunity to participate in its growth. Right now, you can earn up to a 50% bonus equity, which provides an attractive way to reduce your average cost basis and help create momentum for new expansion.
