Own The Flyover

Join the Movement—Invest in The Flyover

We launched The Flyover to build something rare in American media—a newsroom focused on facts and real stories, not political narratives and biased reporting.

We’re now about halfway to our investment goal, thanks to more than 1,540 readers who have invested in our mission of independent, reader-driven journalism.

If you are an investor, thank you.

If you are not, I hope you will consider joining your fellow readers.

Before I focus on bringing in new investors, I would like to offer you, our readers, a special opportunity to be part of this next chapter. You’ve been with us from the start. You understand why The Flyover is needed—and I’d rather grow with you by my side than rely on outside investors who don’t share our values.

Making Investing More Accessible

That’s why I’ve asked our legal counsel to lower the minimum investment to $500—to make ownership in The Flyover accessible to more of the people who built it: you, our readers.

Why Invest in The Flyover

  1. Independent journalism matters. We answer to readers, not advertisers, political activists, or corporate boards.
  2. Our audience is soaring. From a kitchen-table startup to over 3.3 million readers nationwide, The Flyover is among the top 1% of fastest-growing media startups in America.
  3. We’re delivering results. Since our first investor round, readership has grown 27%, while maintaining a strong gross profit margin and expanding our reporting reach.
  4. You’re investing in trust. Nearly every dollar goes directly toward expansion and innovation—maintaining the fact-first, unbiased approach too often abandoned by legacy media.
  5. Return on your investment. As The Flyover continues its positive trajectory, there are several ways readers–turned–investors could benefit in the future: through a sale of the company, a public listing, or dividend distributions. While none of these are guaranteed, they reflect potential outcomes if our growth continues on its current path.

Owning a part of The Flyover is special. And even though it’s much more complicated and requires additional work for us to manage a larger group of smaller investors, I have instructed our attorney to proceed anyway. Because I want to partner with you, our readers.

If you’ve been on the fence, now is the time to invest.

Will you be part of the movement that changes the way Americans consume their news?

Article Icon 1Paxton Sues Tylenol Makers

Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the makers of Tylenol on Tuesday, accusing Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiary Kenvue of “deceptively marketing” the drug to pregnant women despite disputed research that its active ingredient can increase the risk of autism and ADHD in unborn children.

The lawsuit alleges that Johnson & Johnson, “seeing that the day of reckoning was coming,” violated state law by transferring its liabilities associated with Tylenol to a separate company to protect its assets.

The suit follows last month’s warning from President Donald Trump and U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that acetaminophen use by pregnant women can allegedly cause neurodevelopmental disorders in their children.

Their announcement cited a recent study to support the claim, but prominent medical groups insist the drug is safe.

Kenvue said Paxton’s allegations “lack legal merit and scientific support,” denouncing the “perpetuation of misinformation on the safety of acetaminophen,” which the company claims is the “safest pain reliever” for pregnant women.

Article Icon 1Dallas ISD Principal Replaced for Shaming Students

The principal of Dallas ISD’s Woodrow Wilson High School has been replaced after she assembled the school’s approximately 100 black students on Friday to discuss their academic performance, suggesting they were to blame for the school’s B rating from the Texas Education Agency.

Chandra Hooper-Barnett acknowledged the meeting “caused concern within our school community” and “was not appropriate” in a Sunday letter to parents in which she offered to step down “to allow for healing and growth.”

Danielle Petters, a longtime principal and the former executive director of the Woodrow Wilson Vertical Team, was named the interim principal of the 2,000-student campus.

I don’t even know how you resolve this and take it back, because the damage has been done,” said Jennifer Bush, whose son attended the meeting. “There is a trust that is broken between parents and students.”

Article Icon 1Texas College Enrollment Hits All-Time High

A preliminary report from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board shows a record 1,680,517 students are enrolled in Texas colleges. The total is up 4.7% from last year and represents the first time enrollment has exceeded the pre-pandemic figure of approximately 1,560,000.

Public two-year colleges have enrolled 776,432 students, while public four-year universities have enrolled 708,669. Private institutions have enrolled 160,869 students and saw the largest year-to-year increase, at 6.7%. Nearly 35,000 students are enrolled at health-related institutions.

Several of the state’s largest universities set enrollment records this fall, including UT Austin (55,000), Texas State University (44,596), and Texas Tech University (42,272). Texas A&M’s College Station campus, with more than 76,000 students, has capped enrollment for five years as its infrastructure is upgraded and expanded.

The record enrollment numbers will help the state’s continuing efforts to build a talent-strong Texas and an increasingly educated workforce,” said Commissioner of Higher Education Wynn Rosser.
