The Roundup

Article Icon 1Cold Front to Slash Temps

Temperatures across Texas are set to plummet this weekend, with most cities seeing a 20-30 degree drop overnight tonight.

Super Bowl Sunday should bring a reprieve from the record highs seen across the state earlier in the week, as some areas reached the 80s and 90s.

The cold front could bring snow to North Texas next week, following Winter Storm Enzo dropping snow on the state in January, as the National Weather Service warns residents of a freeze threat.

A snowfall would be almost right in line with the Farmer’s Almanac, which predicted at least 6 inches of snow falling on Texas by yesterday, Feb. 7.

The Texas Education Agency is investigating an additional 60 people who allegedly paid for their teacher certifications, bringing the total to more than 200 unqualified teachers who may have participated in the $1 million cheating scandal.

Individuals now under investigation include 24 teachers in the Houston area, where the cheating ring was based, as well as dozens in North Texas cities, including Dallas and Fort Worth.

Each school district is handling the charges against its teachers differently, with at least one special education teacher placed on leave in San Antonio.

The news comes after Attorney General Ken Paxton ordered an investigation of two school districts whose employees gave advice to parents for circumventing state laws on transgender athletes playing girls’ sports.

Article Icon 1List: 3 Texas Cities the Best to Visit in 2025

Three Texas cities made the cut on Time Out’s list of the 10 best cities to visit in the U.S. in 2025.

At number seven, Austin was the highest-ranked Texas city, boasting great barbeque, nationally-recognized events like South by Southwest, and of course, being weird.

Dallas and San Antonio close out the list at nine and ten, respectively, with “Big D” leveraging its cultural diversity for great cuisine and San Antonio showcasing multiple must-see Spanish missions, including the Alamo.

The Big Apple took top spot on the list, which you can see in full here.

For All the Good Boys and Girls

This brand of dog food beats traditional kibbles 39-0 in a third-party taste test. What’s your pup waiting for?

Sundays is no regular dog food. Their recipes stick to a short list of human-grade meats, fruits, and vegetables to ensure dogs are fed to a higher standard. And unlike other human-grade dog foods, Sundays needs no fridge, no prep, no cleanup, and no hassle. Just pour into a bowl and watch your pup devour it. Because every batch is made and air-dried in the US for over 11 hours, these tasty jerky-style pieces retain maximum nutrition to help your dog look and feel its best (while loving what they are eating).

It’s time to try the Sundays challenge: let your pup decide between Sundays and your current dog food. We’re pretty sure we know who’s going to win.
