Question: Where is the annual Great Texas Mosquito Festival?
Answer: Clute. Founded in 1981, the three-day event attracts over 13,000 visitors each year and includes a carnival, live music, a barbecue cookoff, and the Mosquito Legs and Mosquito Calling contests. Willie-Man-Chew, a 26-foot-tall mosquito mascot, towers over the festival’s activities. This year’s festival is being held July 24-26.
