Article Icon 1Google To Invest $40 Billion In Texas

Google on Friday announced plans to invest $40 billion to build three new AI data centers in Texas.

The new AI facilities in Armstrong and Haskell counties will add thousands of jobs, provide worker training, and cut energy use with advanced air-cooling technology.

Gov. Greg Abbott was joined by U.S. Deputy Energy Secretary James Danly, along with other officials from Google and the state, to celebrate the announcement.

Nine people tied to a North Texas Antifa cell were federally indicted for their alleged role in the July 4 attack on an ICE facility in Alvarado.

Those indicted were charged with a multitude of crimes, including rioting with the intent to commit an act of violence, providing material support to terrorists, and conspiracy to use and carry an explosive.

In addition to the nine indicted, seven more have been charged in the case. You can find more details on who was indicted and the crimes committed here.
