At least two newlywed couples from Texas weathered Hurricane Melissa as it slammed into Jamaica on Tuesday. The massive storm is expected to hit Bermuda this evening after wreaking havoc in the Caribbean, where it claimed at least 36 lives.

Hunter and Kasydee Bishop of Tyler arrived at their resort in Montego Bay on Oct. 20. They learned about the approaching storm on Friday, shortly before their planned departure. Their flight was canceled, and the resort began boarding up windows and making preparations for landfall.

We went from sort of panicking to get out of here, to just having to accept the fact that we’re going to be stuck here,” Hunter said. “As long as we’re together, we’re going to be OK,” he added.

The island’s international airports are expected to reopen for commercial flights this morning.

John Wesley and Wendy Smith of Jarrell also rode out the storm after arriving in Jamaica last week for their destination wedding. Smith praised the efforts of the resort staff to protect guests: “They worked through the entire night preparing and just trying to protect us.”

Within a span of 12 hours on Tuesday, the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars sued each other over a dispute related to the maintenance and operation of the American Airlines Center, the city-owned arena that both teams have leased through 2031.

The Mavericks allege the Stars breached their contract with the city of Dallas by relocating their corporate headquarters to Frisco in 2003. While the city didn’t object to the move at the time, its attorneys agreed with the Mavericks after they raised the issue last year.

Since then, the Mavericks have withheld the Stars’ share of arena proceeds. The Mavericks claim the Stars backed out of a deal that would have required them to play at the AAC through 2061 and obligated the city and the Mavericks to pay for a $300 million renovation.

To put it plainly, the Stars are holding the American Airlines Center hostage,” the Mavericks stated in their filing. In response, the Stars accused the Mavericks of orchestrating a “hostile takeover” that relegates the NHL team to “the role of a mere tenant.”

Article Icon 1Texas Michelin Guide Honors 140 Restaurants

The second annual Texas Michelin Guide was announced Tuesday night at the Wortham Theater Center in Houston, honoring 140 restaurants with a coveted star, Bib Gourmand, or Recommended designation from the French tire company’s secretive rating service.

Eighteen restaurants earned a 1-star rating, up from 15 last year. No restaurant earned a 2- or 3-star rating. Austin has seven 1-star restaurants, Houston has six, San Antonio has three, and Dallas has two. The additions to this year’s guide are Mamani in Dallas—which has been open for less than two months—and San Antonio’s Isidore and Nicosi.

For the less prestigious Bib Gourmand and Recommended recognitions, the Austin metro again led the way with 46 (17 Bib Gourmand, 29 Recommended), followed by Houston (22 and 16), Dallas (6 and 18), San Antonio (6 and 7), and Fort Worth (1 and 3).

This year’s Texas selection emphasizes the many talents across your communities who continue to rise above with culinary innovation and passion that is palpable,” said Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guide, during Tuesday’s ceremony.

This odd method is so effective that scientists have deemed it to be 10 times better than retinol, but with none of the side effects.

Just watch the video below and see how easy it is to look 10, 15, or even 20 years younger:
