Question: Where in Texas can you see a 60-foot replica of the Eiffel Tower?

Answer: Paris, of course. The monument was built in 1995 by a local ironworkers union. Although it was marketed as the “Second Largest Eiffel Tower in the Second Largest Paris,” a replica five feet taller was unveiled in Paris, Tennessee, that same year. The Texas city reclaimed bragging rights by adding a huge metal cowboy hat to the top of the tower. The victory was short-lived, however, as the Paris Las Vegas casino and hotel opened in 1999, boasting a 541-foot replica of the famous landmark.
