Answer: Don Wetzel. Born in New Orleans in 1929, he attended Loyola University and went to work for IBM, moving to Fort Worth in 1955. In 1968, as vice president of Irving’s Docutel Corporation, he designed the cash-dispensing Docuteller, which was installed at a bank in New York City the following year.
