Article Icon 1Trump Rallies Texas Voters for Paxton

President Trump campaigned for Senate candidate Ken Paxton at San Antonio’s Freeman Coliseum Wednesday night, saying that if elected in the race against Democrat James Talarico, Paxton would be “one of the best Senators that we have in this country.”

Trump also revisited his remark from Monday that an Iranian nuclear weapon could destroy San Diego and Los Angeles, telling the crowd, “We’re not going to let that happen. We protect our cities.”

The president said he’ll award Roger Clemens the Presidential Medal of Freedom, calling the seven-time Cy Young winner “maybe the greatest pitcher of all time.” Clemens, kept out of the Hall of Fame over steroid allegations, introduced Trump onstage.

At least a dozen protesters interrupted the speech, and police escorted some out. Trump said in an interview at the rally that Republicans “have to win” in November, calling a victory “an affirmation.”

Article Icon 1Fort Worth Barbecue Lands Michelin Star

Michelin handed out three new stars in Texas on Thursday, and one went to a no-frills Fort Worth barbecue joint that a group of friends opened in 2020.

The 2026 guide covers 149 Texas restaurants, 19 of which are now starred. Six new restaurants earned Bib Gourmands, Michelin’s nod to good food at a fair price.

Goldee’s Bar-B-Q in Fort Worth climbed from Bib Gourmand to one star on the strength of brisket smoked low and slow over post oak, with a waiting line that routinely runs hours long. Inspectors also singled out the turkey, jalapeño-cheddar sausage, potato salad, and banana pudding.

Austin restaurants took the other two stars for the vegan spot Fabrik and the Japanese-French newcomer Kappo Kappo. Dallas restaurants Tatsu and Mamani kept theirs, and Goldee’s became the first starred restaurant on the Metroplex’s west side.

Article Icon 1DFW Ranked America’s Most Stressful Airport

Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) was named the most stressful airport in the country in a new study of the 55 busiest U.S. airports, released by a Tampa-based airport parking company.

The study gave equal weight to five measures: delay rate, cancellation rate, the extent to which delays have worsened since 2021, and the distance and drive time from downtown. It used 2025 federal flight data and Google Maps estimates.

DFW had the highest delay rate in the study, 27.86%, and the third-highest cancellation rate, at 2.76%, making it the only airport to land in the top three on both. Texas’ four other major airports did not make the top 10 most stressful.

Delays at DFW have increased by 33.67% since 2021, and the airport is about 20 miles from downtown Dallas. On Oct. 1, it logged 390 delays and 155 cancellations, more than any other U.S. airport that day.

The Investment Hiding Inside Every AI Chip

Everyone knows AI is powered by chips. Almost nobody knows those chips run on tungsten.

It’s one of Earth’s hardest-to-replace metals. Yet somehow, America produces almost none. United States Tungsten is changing that.

They’re redeveloping what was once America’s largest tungsten facility, the “Tungsten Queen” in North Carolina. It holds roughly 1M tons of minerals, worth $665M+ at today’s prices.

Right on time, too. America’s biggest AI rival, China, supplies 84% of global tungsten. It’s already tightened exports. There’s no telling how long that door will stay open for American companies.

Now’s your chance to invest as United States Tungsten works to open a new door at home. Become a shareholder before midnight PT tonight to qualify for up to 23% in United States Tungsten bonus shares.

Unlocking America’s $665M ‘Tungsten Queen’

The U.S. is racing to rebuild a critical mineral supply chain. Tungsten is essential to the military, but China controls 84% of the global supply.

So the government is phasing out tungsten imports from adversaries and growing the domestic supply. That’s a serious opportunity in America, and United States Tungsten is taking advantage.

They’re reviving what was once America’s largest tungsten facility, home to $665M+ worth of minerals at today’s prices.

The going rate’s already up by 500% in the past year. And this is a rare chance for you to invest in a proven asset.

But you only have until midnight PT to make the most of it. Invest in United States Tungsten before tonight’s deadline to qualify for up to 23% in bonus shares.
