The Flyover Is Now Reader-Owned—And That Changes Everything
We’re not just reporting the news—we’re rebuilding trust in it. Here are five of the top reasons why now is the time to own a piece of The Flyover.
We’ve always said: We serve our readers, not corporate bosses.
Now, we’re putting that into action.
The Flyover is now reader-owned, which means you can own a piece of what we believe is one of the most trusted news brands in America.
Here’s why that matters:
No corporate ownership.
We don’t answer to VC boardrooms or hedge funds. We answer to you—our readers.
No celebrity journalists.
You won’t find our writers chasing fame or followers. Our editors and reporters work behind the scenes, focused on facts, not likes. We’re building the Flyover brand, not personal brands.
Fact-first, not flashy.
Legacy media has lost trust. And they’ve earned it.
We’re here to replace that lost trust with clear, accurate, common-sense news for common-sense Americans.
Humility still matters.
We don’t pretend to be perfect. If we get something wrong, we own it and fix it. That’s the promise.
We aren’t about ego. We’re about building something better—together.
With a minimum investment of just $750 ($2/share) you can become a co-owner of The Flyover and help reshape American news from the ground up.
Invest in The Flyover
We believe the people who value the news should have a stake in how it’s made.
Help us build the future of news—by becoming an owner of The Flyover today.

Paxton Files Suit Against 13 House Democrats
Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit Friday to remove 13 absent House Democrats from their seats as the Texas House met again without a quorum due to Democrats who’d left the state.
Paxton also brought suit Friday against Beto O’Rourke and his political organization for “unlawful fundraising activity” that could potentially pay fines owed by the missing Democrats.
Gov. Greg Abbott said he would call “special session after special session after special session with the same agenda items,” suggesting Democrats would not be able to wait out the bill becoming law.
House Speaker Dustin Burrows ordered that absent lawmakers’ salaries be cut by 30% starting today, and required them to collect per diem checks in person. The 50-plus Democrats breaking quorum were already facing $500 fines for each day’s absence.

Penny Tax Proposal Dies in Chaos
Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s tax hike proposal for early childhood education fell through Thursday evening amid a chaotic commissioners’ hearing, which included children Hidalgo invited to chant for votes in favor of the initiative.
Hidalgo interrupted other commissioners on multiple occasions, saying, “There are so many falsehoods, and kids are here listening,” and eventually stormed out of the proceedings.
The proposed “penny tax” would have added a $10 annual tax for every $100,000 of home valuation for residents to fund a free childcare service for kids four and under.
With the hearing dissolved, Hidalgo’s proposal missed the deadline for a vote to place the measure on November’s ballot. The childcare program has funding to operate until December 2026, according to Hidalgo.
